Calepin Recap
Meeting notes
Your meetings, noted for you.
Calepin Recap listens to the meeting on your computer (the call’s sound and your microphone, with no bot joining the call; the microphone alone around a table) and transcribes it on the machine: the sound is never recorded. You keep your own notes beside it; the assistant then completes them, with a summary and the action checklist.
Listening
No bot in the call.
A call or in person
For a call, the computer’s sound and your microphone (“Me” and “Others”): Google Meet first, and any call whose sound the computer plays. Around a table, the microphone alone.
Transcribed on the machine
Apple’s recogniser on the Mac, or whisper with a model fetched on your click. The sound is transcribed as it comes, in memory: it is never written to disk.
Never in secret
The meeting’s bar, a badge everywhere in the app and the menu bar indicator say when the microphone is open. Pause, Stop, and a stop of its own after a long silence; a reminder to tell the others.
Notes
Your notes, completed.
Complete my notes
Your notes and the transcript give the meeting’s notes along a template (meeting, team sync, one-on-one, client meeting, interview, class, project, or your own): a summary, the decisions, the open questions. Your lines stay word for word; the assistant’s additions are marked and can be removed one by one.
The action checklist
Who, what, by when; ticked, edited in place, added to by hand. A “- [ ]” line in your notes becomes one.
Writing what follows
The follow-up email, the friction points, the questions for next time: written, editable, copied. Nothing is sent.
Export
As Markdown (with or without the transcript), copied for Docs, Gmail or Notion, printed or saved as PDF.
Organising
Meetings, people, actions.
Folders and tags
A meeting goes into a folder, which keeps it as long as you say; tags find it again.
People
A card per person: their meetings and the actions that are theirs.
My actions
What is left to do from every meeting, by meeting, by person or by date (overdue, today, this week), the date read from the words (“Friday”, “end of the month”).
Google Calendar, arriving
Google sign-in in one click, read only: the coming meetings in the side bar, and a meeting’s note made with its title and participants. It has just arrived in the app.
The assistant
An assistant that reads your meetings.
Off by default. A conversation about a meeting reads that meeting only; with none open, it searches them all, with tools that only read and change nothing. A meeting marked “No AI” never goes to a model.
All your meetings
“What did my meetings decide this week?”, “Which actions are still open?”
On the Mac, with Apple’s model
Complete a meeting for free, with nothing leaving the Mac (with Apple Intelligence). A long meeting is read in parts when the model is small.
Models you can use
- Apple’s on-device model
- Ollama and LM Studio, on your computer
- Claude through Claude Code, with your Claude plan (no API key)
- Claude, with your API key
Not yet: Sending to Slack, Notion or a webhook, Google Docs, the participants' voices told apart, Microsoft’s calendar, mobile.
